NON-STANDARD CONTAINER
A standard container that, for any reason, has lost its standard dimensions or features and cannot be handled with a spreader, even with special attachments.
OUT OF GAUGE (OOG) CONTAINERS
Any container that, due to its nature or the dimensions of the cargo inside, requires special attachments on the spreader for handling.
BREAKBULK/GENERAL CARGO
Any cargo transported on a container ship without being placed in a container and cannot be handled with a spreader due to its nature or dimensions.
CONTAINER STORAGE AREA
An area where containers of any size and type are stored, full or empty.
CONTAINER FREIGHT STATION (CFS)
An area where cargo is loaded into or unloaded from containers, inspected, or subjected to other procedures required by relevant parties, regulations, or authorities.
CONTAINER TERMINAL
Refers to the container terminal area of Tekirdağ Port.
**WAREHOUSE**
A fully enclosed structure designed to protect cargo from environmental and weather conditions.
**DANGEROUS GOODS**
Any material classified as dangerous by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) under the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code.
EQUIPMENT
All types of equipment used for handling and transporting cargo and containers at the port.
DAY
One calendar day (partial days will be counted as a full day).
FREE TIME
A specified period during which no storage charges will be incurred.
GROSS TONNAGE (GT)
The gross tonnage of a vessel, measured according to the International Convention on Tonnage Measurement of Ships (as amended).
LASHING/UNLASHING
The service of securing or releasing cargo on a vessel using appropriate materials.
STORAGE
(Import, export, reefer, transit, IMO class, empty, OOG flat-rack, boat, etc.)
The service of storing goods under the company's supervision and control.
Storage Start/End Date:
* **Import:** The period from the vessel's arrival until the container is unloaded or leaves by land or sea.
* **Export:** The period from the container's arrival or stuffing until it leaves by sea.
* Varies depending on the container type, cargo type (IMO or non-IMO), and whether the cargo overhangs the container.
Vehicles remaining at the terminal after completing business with the company will be charged double the applicable rate for each day of overstay.
DISCHARGING SERVICE
(Full, empty, dangerous goods)
The service of lifting a container from the vessel using a crane and placing it in the storage area.
LOADING SERVICE
(Full, empty, dangerous goods)
The service of lifting a container from the storage area using a crane and loading it onto the vessel.
SHIFTING (Ship/Shore/Ship)
(Full, empty)
The service of moving a container or cargo from the vessel to shore or vice versa due to various reasons (repositioning, incorrect loading, etc.).
ONBOARD SHIFTING
(Full, empty)
The service of moving a container or cargo within the same hold or between different holds of the vessel without unloading.
LOADING AND UNLOADING SERVICE
Services performed using mechanical equipment (pneumatic, conveyor, pipeline) owned by the company or, with permission, by the customer, for handling bulk, solid, or liquid cargo between the quay, temporary storage areas, land or sea vehicles, and the vessel or lash barge.
UNLOADING A CONTAINER
(IMO/Non-IMO)
The service of moving a container from the stack to the CFS area and unloading it using labor or a forklift onto a vehicle.
LOADING A CONTAINER
(IMO/Non-IMO)
The service of moving an empty or partially filled container to the CFS area and loading cargo from a vehicle into the container using labor or a forklift.
FULL CONTAINER INSPECTION
(IMO/Non-IMO)
The service of unloading and reloading a container at the CFS area upon request of customs authorities to verify or inspect the contents.
**NOTE:** If the container is completely unloaded and reloaded, the loading and unloading tariff applies.
CONTAINER INSPECTION/SAMPLING
The service of opening and inspecting a container or taking samples from the front of the container at the request of customs authorities.
CONTAINER WEIGHING
The service of weighing a container using a weighbridge, either by moving it with a transfer vehicle or while it is on the vehicle.
IN-PORT TRANSFER
The service of moving a container within the port, such as from the stack to the CFS area and back, or to and from the weighbridge.
IN-PORT TRANSFER (To Warehouse Front)
The service of moving a container from the stack to the warehouse front for partial unloading, full inspection, or delivery of breakbulk cargo.
Terminal - OOG Flat Containers (Without Spreader)
The service of lifting a container or cargo onto a vehicle using a stacker for OOG flat containers.
Terminal - OOG Flat Containers (With Sling)
The service of lifting a container or cargo onto a vehicle using a sling for OOG flat containers.
Terminal - Yacht/Boat Cargo
The service of lifting a yacht or boat cargo onto a vehicle for transport by land or sea.
LINING A CONTAINER WITH PAPER
The service of lining the interior of a container with paper at the CFS area before loading for export.
SWEEPING A CONTAINER
The service of sweeping the interior of a container before loading for export.
WASHING A CONTAINER
The service of washing and drying a container at the washing station upon request.
CARGO LASHING/UNLASHING
The service of securing or releasing cargo within a container.
COVERING A CONTAINER WITH A TARPAULIN
The service of covering an open-top container with a tarpaulin.
